In Q5, it says that is s_{1} is transmitted then frequency shift is introduced. Does it mean that when s_{1} is transmitted, then only the frequency shift is introduced, or the question means to say there is a general frequency shift in the channel?

In Q3. and Q5., do we leave the probability of error in terms of a double integral?

In problem 3 you should be able to write the answer in terms of product of Q functions. In Problem 5, you should be able to write the answer as a Q function
